Among the 120 projects that made it to the semi-finals of the “Rural Youth Startup Project Competition 2024”, Hai Duong province has only one project to recycle plastic waste by students of Nam Sach II High School.
The project was built by Nguyen Hai Yen, Nguyen Dieu Cam (grade 11A) and Pham Thien Minh (grade 11B) of Nam Sach II High School with the name: "Recycling plastic waste to grow aquatic plants to create livelihoods".
According to the project idea, playing bonsai, including hydroponic plants, is a current trend. Many customers choose products with unique designs to decorate and express their own style. Therefore, growing hydroponic bonsai from recycled materials meets the needs of customers to choose small, compact, beautiful, and unique plants. Recycled planting materials are also an advantage for the product to be sold at a lower price than plants of similar quality on the market.
The project's display products are environmentally friendly, conveying the message of environmental protection through recycling, reusing plastic materials and planting trees.
The “Rural Youth Startup Project 2024” competition is for young people aged 18-35 with startup projects in the agricultural sector. Semi-finalists will be trained in skills, consulted on technology and environmental solutions, and promoted local talents; guided in building business projects, project presentation skills, negotiation skills, and calling for investment capital. After the training, the contestants will complete their projects and submit them to the Organizing Committee of the competition.
The 30 best projects will participate in the final round scheduled to be held in December 2024. The organizing committee will select the 9 best projects to award prizes and support funding from the National Employment Fund. The first prize winner will receive a maximum capital support of 1 billion VND.
