The Vietnamese team will take the first steps in the process of conquering the AFF Cup 2024 gold trophy.
On the morning of November 21, the Vietnamese national team officially gathered to prepare for the AFF Cup 2024. Coach Kim Sang-sik summoned 30 players and had an important training trip in Korea.
Players from the Northern region such as Dang Van Lam, Nguyen Hoang Duc, Nguyen Thai Son, Doan Ngoc Tan, Do Duy Manh, Nguyen Dinh Bac... arrived early.
Some Nam Dinh players were called up before the tournament and did not need to join the training with their teammates. They played 2 more matches in AFC Champions League Two and this was a good enough test.
Before going to Korea, the Vietnamese team has made important preparations for the tournament. Today, the whole team has a break and only has a few internal meetings. On November 22, the team will practice in the morning and rest in the afternoon to prepare for the trip.
The coaching staff will make specific plans and make adjustments to suit the players' actual physical condition after the V.League and national first division stages.
At the same time, the logistics department of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) will go to Korea earlier to prepare all accommodation conditions for the Vietnamese team.
Coach Kim Sang-sik announced the list of the Vietnamese team preparing for the AFF Cup 2024. The Korean coach caused a shock when he eliminated 3 players: Do Hung Dung, Que Ngoc Hai and Nguyen Cong Phuong. Hung Dung and Ngoc Hai are currently the captain and vice-captain of the Vietnamese team.
The Vietnamese team is in Group B with the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar and Laos. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team aim to reach the final match of the tournament.
The Vietnamese team will play their opening match against Laos on December 8. The official list of 26 players participating in the tournament will be announced on December 5.
The Vietnamese team will take a flight at 1:40 a.m. on November 23 from Noi Bai airport and arrive in Korea in the morning of the same day.
