Vietnam women's team gathers again, prepares for ASIAD 19

According to information from the Vietnam Football Federation, from August 10, the Vietnam Women's Team will gather again at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center to prepare for the 19th ASIAD taking place in Hangzhou (China) next September.

In this training session, Coach Mai Duc Chung and his colleagues will add many young faces, such as: Nguyen Thi Hoa, Pham Thi Lan Anh (Hanoi); Tran Thi Duyen, Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh (Ha Nam), increasing the number of players born after 2000 of the Vietnam Women's Team to 11, out of a total of 25 players summoned.

Calling these players to join the National Team is part of the plan to train the next generation for the Vietnam Women's National Team, preparing for future goals.

In the case of Huynh Nhu, this striker is still in the process of completing a contract with Lank Vilaverdense Club. Therefore, Huynh Nhu's participation in the training and competition with the Vietnam Women's Team at ASIAD 19 will be reconfirmed after reaching an agreement with the host club.

According to the plan, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will gather at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center from August 10-19. After that, the team will have a training trip in Hai Phong, before returning to Hanoi to prepare for their trip to China.

According to the draw results on July 27, the Vietnamese women's team is in group D with Japan, Nepal and Bangladesh.

The group stage matches of the Vietnam Women's Football Team will take place from September 22-28 at Wenzhou Olympic Stadium, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province (China).
