Vietnam U20 Women's Team offers incense to commemorate Hung Kings

Leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation, the coaching staff of the Vietnam U20 Women's Football Team and delegates offered incense to commemorate the Hung Kings.

On May 29, the Vietnam U20 Women's Football Team led by Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Football Federation Nguyen Minh Chau, Head of the Organizing Committee of Group A, the second qualifying round of the 2024 Asian U20 Women's Football Championship in Phu Tho, paid tribute to the Hung Kings at the Hung Temple Historical Site.

At Kinh Thien Palace on Nghia Linh Mountain, the delegates, the coaching staff and the players respectfully offered incense, flowers and offerings to commemorate the Hung Kings who founded the country; and reported on the achievements that the Vietnam U20 Women's Team has achieved in recent years, such as being runner-up in the Southeast Asian U18 Women's Football Championship held in August 2022; passing the first qualifying round of the 2024 Asian U20 Women's Football Championship with the top position in Group F, held in March 2023 at Phu Tho Stadium, contributing to bringing the team closer to the final round taking place in Uzbekistan in the summer of 2024.

In front of the Hung Kings, the coaching staff and players affirmed that they will unite, actively train, concentrate, compete with all their might for the national flag, and dedicate to the audience and the fans of the Homeland attractive and beautiful matches with high professional quality. Thereby, completing the goal of winning one of the two leading positions in Group A to pass the second qualifying round of the 2024 AFC U20 Women's Football Championship.

The Vietnam U20 women's team is in Group A with Australia, Iran and Lebanon. The Vietnam U20 team will meet Iran and Lebanon before facing Australia U20 in the final round. The second qualifying round will be held at Phu Tho Stadium from June 3-7.
