On August 14, the Veterans Association of Hai Duong province organized a Veterans Singing Festival with the theme "Forever worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers". This was the first time the Veterans Association of the province organized this activity. The Hai Duong City Veterans Association team won the special prize of the festival.
Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province attended and presented flowers to the Organizing Committee.
After a day of excitement, the Organizing Committee of the "Veterans' Singing Festival" in Hai Duong province awarded a special prize to the Hai Duong City Veterans Association team and first prize to the Tu Ky District Veterans Association team, and also awarded prizes to the performances participating in the festival.
This year, there are 13 teams participating in the program, including 12 teams of the District Veterans Association and the Veterans Association of the Provincial Agencies. Each team brings to the festival 3-5 solo performances, duets, dance groups, drama performances, cheo singing, etc.
There are many performances composed and staged by the units themselves. The performances focus on praising the Party, Uncle Ho, love for the homeland, the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the contributions of veterans in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, building new rural areas, etc.
According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the performances were elaborately staged, with many creative contents and forms of expression, and beautiful costumes.
This is an activity to welcome the "Exemplary Veterans" Emulation Congress for the period 2019-2024 and celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Association's traditional day (December 6, 1989 - December 6, 2024).
