On the morning of December 1, in Hanoi, the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat held a national conference to disseminate and summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee; the socio-economic situation in 2024, solutions to accelerate and develop the socio-economy in 2025 and remove institutional bottlenecks and bottlenecks. At the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly voted to pass 18 laws, considered and passed 21 resolutions, including 4 legal normative resolutions with a high approval rate; the National Assembly also gave its first opinions on 10 other draft laws. The session considered and decided on many important issues, promptly removed difficulties and obstacles, supported people and businesses, created breakthroughs to improve infrastructure, maximized resources, and created new development space.

In particular, the National Assembly approved with a high approval rate the investment policy of the North-South high-speed railway project, clearly demonstrating the innovative thinking in national infrastructure development, not only a transport project but also a symbol of aspiration, innovative spirit and drastic action, ready to overcome challenges to open up great opportunities for the country.

In the coming time, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the National Assembly, National Assembly agencies, and National Assembly deputies will promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, innovation, breakthroughs, and focus on key tasks, including the rapid and timely implementation of laws and resolutions that have just been passed, urgently implementing the spirit of innovative thinking in law-making associated with effective law enforcement, creating a positive ripple effect in the political system and the entire population...

Specifically, according to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly, National Assembly agencies, and National Assembly deputies will carry out key tasks.

First of all, in order to synchronously and effectively implement the policies at the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee requests the Government, the Prime Minister, the Nationalities Council, the National Assembly Committees, all levels, branches, agencies in the state apparatus, the National Assembly delegations, and the National Assembly deputies to promptly and promptly implement the laws and resolutions that have just been passed, urgently disseminate the spirit of innovative thinking in law-making associated with effective law enforcement, creating a positive ripple effect in the political system and the entire population; proactively coordinate in preparing the content and program of the 9th and 10th Sessions of the 15th National Assembly, prepare to summarize the activities of the People's Councils and National Assembly delegations nationwide in 2024; focus on spreading widely to all classes of people about the meaning and importance of the apparatus streamlining revolution and the responsibility to practice thrift and combat waste.

The National Assembly strictly grasps the urgent requirements of the work of arranging and streamlining the apparatus of the political system, meeting the requirements and tasks of the country in the new period; closely linking ideological work with organizational and personnel work, focusing on raising awareness and responsibility among cadres, party members and workers, first of all, setting an example for the leaders of each agency, unit and organization, including improving the quality and effectiveness of the performance of tasks and powers of National Assembly deputies, considering this one of the key factors of the key to innovating the activities of the National Assembly.

The National Assembly continues to regularly pay attention to directing and effectively organizing the implementation of waste prevention work of the National Assembly, the agencies of the National Assembly, the agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the Office of the National Assembly; in which four key solutions are identified, including: raising awareness and responsibility of cadres and party members (with a scientific working mindset, effective time management, forming social ethical responsibility associated with strict implementation of discipline); perfecting waste prevention institutions and strictly handling violations; thoroughly addressing the causes of waste; building a culture of thrift, considering practicing thrift and fighting waste as regular, daily tasks of each individual and organization.

The National Assembly develops and implements a plan to summarize the term of the 15th National Assembly. It plans the structure, composition, and personnel for the 16th National Assembly; it directs the implementation of preparations for the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The 13th Party Central Committee Conference on November 25, 2024 identified three major tasks in the coming time, including: innovating and reorganizing the political system; accelerating and making breakthroughs to implement the goals and tasks of the 13th Party Congress term; and preparing well the conditions to successfully organize the 14th Congress, bringing the country into a new era.

Continuing and promoting the results of the Party Central Committee Conference and the 8th Session, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly Chairman requested that agencies and organizations in the political system, especially the National Assembly agencies and National Assembly deputies, continue to strongly innovate, improve operational efficiency, unite under the leadership of the Party, overcome all difficulties and challenges, strive to achieve the highest socio-economic development goals in 2025, contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, best prepare for Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress, creating a premise for strong innovation and development in the new era of the nation.
