In 2024, factories in Bac Giang province need to recruit more than 100,000 workers, focusing on the electronics and garment industries. In order to retain skilled workers and attract new human resources, create cohesion, and improve production efficiency, many business owners are interested in the material and spiritual benefits of workers.

According to statistics from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Bac Giang province currently has more than 7,600 enterprises operating, creating stable jobs for about 306,200 people. The number of workers working in industrial parks (IPs) alone is 190,300 people. The average income of workers in foreign-invested enterprises is from 8-12 million VND/person/month; skilled workers earn 15-20 million VND/person/month.

Along with income, many businesses are interested in improving working conditions, arranging rest areas between shifts, supplementing nutrition in meals, installing milk pumping and storage cabins for women with young children... to help them feel secure in their commitment.

Starting production in 2016, Yamashita Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Yen Dung) specializes in processing car seat covers for export to Japan, creating jobs for nearly 400 workers.

Each month, in addition to the basic salary of 4.2 million VND/person, the company is paying employees a number of allowances such as: Meals (35,000 VND/meal); seniority (500,000 VND); transportation (650,000 VND); housing (700,000 VND); telephone (400,000 VND). The company arranges a break area between shifts (15 minutes/shift), creating conditions for employees to rest, relax mentally, and ensure their health to continue working.

Instructions for expressing milk using a machine to help female workers of Nichirin Vietnam Co., Ltd. raise healthy children

According to the report of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks in Bac Giang province, there are currently 30 milking and storage rooms operating effectively in the area, bringing benefits to female workers raising young children. Mr. Ngo Duc Thang, Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks in the province, said that at the units, the trade union coordinated with enterprises to equip sterilizers, manual milking machines, air conditioners, and refrigerators to preserve breast milk.

This has created conditions for female union members and workers to store milk to breastfeed their children for the longest possible time. For example, at Nichirin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Quang Chau Industrial Park), the union coordinates with the medical unit to regularly organize training programs, provide knowledge, and improve breastfeeding skills for female workers.
