Vietnam delegation is leading the rankings of the Southeast Asian School Sports Festival.

After 6 days of exciting competition, by the evening of June 5, the Vietnamese sports delegation was temporarily ranked first at the 13th Southeast Asian School Sports Festival.

Vietnam team won gold medal in Men's Kick Attack event

The Thai sports delegation ranked second with 11 gold medals, 12 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals.

The Malaysian delegation ranked third with 9 gold medals, 11 silver medals, and 12 bronze medals.

On June 5, the Vietnamese sports delegation won 4 gold medals in swimming and 3 gold medals in athletics.

Tomorrow, June 6, athletes will continue to compete in swimming, badminton, athletics, pencak silat in the knockout rounds and finals.

The 13th Southeast Asian School Sports Festival with the main theme of “Connecting and Shining” took place in Da Nang City. The festival gathered over 1,300 student athletes and coaches from 10 countries in the region: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and host Vietnam. Six sports were included in the competition: swimming, basketball, badminton, athletics, pencak silat and vovinam with a total of 107 events, corresponding to 107 sets of medals.
