According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Gia Loc district (Hai Duong), this year's crop area of quality rice in the district reached 3,058 hectares, accounting for 83% of the total cultivated area of the district, higher than the average of the province.
This year, Gia Loc district planted 3,680 hectares of winter-spring rice. Of which, the area of quality rice reached 3,058 hectares, accounting for 83% of the total area, an increase of nearly 230 hectares compared to last year's winter-spring crop. This rate is nearly 10% higher than the average figure of the province and is one of the localities with high-quality rice area in the province. The area of this rice has increased because the quality of the rice is good, favored by consumers, the selling price is higher than other types while the yield is also quite good compared to common rice varieties.
