Kinh Mon Power Company invests in building 7 new transformer stations

In 2024, Kinh Mon Town Electricity will spend more than 11.5 billion VND to upgrade the power grid in the area, including investing in the construction of 7 new transformer stations.

Le Ninh 6 transformer station with a capacity of 400kVA will be energized and put into use at the end of February, contributing to improving the quality of electricity for the area before the hot season.

According to the leader of Kinh Mon Electricity, 7 new transformer stations, each with a capacity of about 400kVA. The new transformer stations will be built in Hiep An, An Phu, and An Luu wards to help prevent overloading of old transformer stations that are already fully loaded and reduce the radius of the low-voltage power grid.

Along with the construction of the transformer station, the unit will invest in the construction of 1,865 m of 35kV overhead lines and underground cables; and the construction and renovation of 2,083 m of 0.4kV overhead lines and underground cables.

The total cost for upgrading the power grid to prevent overload is about 11.5 billion VND.

In 2023, Kinh Mon Town Electricity also spent nearly 15 billion VND to invest in building 9 new transformer stations; nearly 3,000 m of medium-voltage lines and more than 2,000 m of low-voltage grid lines... These projects help improve electricity quality for customers in An Sinh, An Phu, Hiep An, Pham Thai wards and Hoanh Son, Le Ninh and Quang Thanh communes.
