The residential area where Mr. Tinh works as the Area Chief is located next to several enterprises with a large number of workers in the province. Therefore, almost every house in his area has a room rental service.
According to the ward's direction, Mr. Tinh is responsible for counting all the people staying in the area to celebrate Tet, so that the ward can grasp the situation and have a plan to support them promptly, give them gifts of encouragement; at the same time, have measures to ensure security and order in the area. Mr. Tinh spent a whole day going around the houses in the area to remind the landlords to ask and quickly count the situation of the people staying.
In the evening, when Mr. Tinh had just finished eating, he saw Mrs. Hai - one of the houses with the most rented rooms in the area - announce the statistics. So, although Mrs. Hai's house had more than 30 tenants, only a couple from the Central Highlands stayed to celebrate Tet. The reason was that the husband had a work accident in the past few months, and his health was still weak and he could not work, so he had no income. The cost of returning to his hometown was expensive, so the couple decided to stay to recuperate, hoping that after Tet, the husband could go to work to pay off his debts. After announcing this, Mrs. Hai continued:
- Many of the children staying at my house are from the highlands of the Northwest. I heard them say they will ride motorbikes together to go back to their hometown. They said that they will be proactive and not have to depend on the buses during Tet which are often crowded and if they miss the bus, they will lose the whole day.
- If the children ride motorbikes, please remind them to drive carefully! The roads are crowded with traffic during Tet. They have been driving for dozens of hours, so if they are a little careless, they can easily have an accident.
Listening to the story of Mr. Tinh and Mrs. Hai, Mr. Tinh's son Thanh added his words:
- I see that those friends are proactive in going home by motorbike, but my father is right, going that far is also very dangerous! You should remind them not to go anywhere in a hurry, just obey traffic laws. In our province, many businesses have supported vehicles to take workers from far away to their hometowns for Tet. When going to meetings at the ward, my father should also give his opinion so that the government can advise the businesses to do this. Businesses in difficulty can consider supporting a part of the cost with the grassroots union, and the rest will be paid by the workers. I believe that if there is a shuttle bus near their home, the workers will definitely not ride their motorbikes anymore. In the case of workers living far away and in difficult circumstances and not enough to arrange a shuttle bus, it is also possible to support them with money to buy bus tickets.
- Mr. Thanh is right, Mr. Tinh should have an opinion on this - Mrs. Hai nodded.
