On January 26, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Long Commune (Nghia Dan District, Nghe An), Mr. Truong Cong Thuyen said that on Ho Chi Minh Road, a passenger bus had just crashed into a field, injuring many people.
Initial information, the accident occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on January 26 (December 27) on Ho Chi Minh road, passing Bo Ro slope, in Nam Thang hamlet, Nghia Long commune.
At this time, local people heard a loud crash mixed with the screams of passengers, so they came together to support and rescue.
At the scene, the passenger bus with license plate 15B - 036.xx (driver's identity unknown) overturned in the rice field, broken mirrors, glass, shoes, and passengers' belongings were scattered everywhere.
People had to use hammers to break the glass doors and use ladders to pull people out one by one.
“At that time, there were more than 10 passengers on the bus. The accident injured some people, but fortunately no one died. Some victims were covered in mud after being taken out, and were then warmed by people who lit a fire. The bus company called a shuttle to take the injured passengers to the hospital for examination and help them get home safely,” Mr. Thuyen added.
