Proposal to spend more than 506 billion VND to give gifts to meritorious people on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025

The Government Office has just issued Document No. 8094/VPCP-KGVX dated November 5, conveying the opinion of Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long on submitting to the President the proposal to give gifts to people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long authorized the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to complete the dossier to submit to the President on the proposal to give gifts to people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

According to the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the subjects and levels of gifts for people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025 will remain the same as in 2024, including two levels of 600,000 VND and 300,000 VND.

The gift of 600,000 VND for people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025 includes: Revolutionary activists and relatives of martyrs who are receiving monthly allowances; relatives of two or more martyrs who are receiving monthly allowances; Revolutionary activists who were revolutionary activists before January 1, 1945 and are receiving monthly preferential allowances; Revolutionary activists from January 1, 1945 to the August 1945 uprising who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers who are receiving monthly preferential allowances.

In addition, the recipients of gifts worth 600,000 VND include Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Heroes of Labor during the resistance war who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 81% or more who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 81% or more who are receiving monthly preferential allowances; people who have contributed to the revolution and are receiving monthly nursing allowances.

The gift of 300,000 VND for people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025 includes: People with revolutionary contributions; representatives of martyrs' relatives; people who worship martyrs (in case the martyrs have no relatives); people with revolutionary contributions who are defined as war invalids, people who enjoy policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 80% or less and are receiving monthly preferential allowances; war invalids who are receiving a regime of loss of working capacity; people who participated in the resistance war and were infected with toxic chemicals and have a body injury rate of 80% or less and are receiving monthly preferential allowances; people who participated in the revolution, the resistance war, defending the Fatherland, and performing international duties and were imprisoned or exiled by the enemy and are receiving monthly preferential allowances.

It is expected that the total budget for giving gifts to people with revolutionary contributions on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 is more than 506.7 billion VND.
