Investing more than 1,800 billion VND to build the intersection of National Highway 17B with National Highway 5

After being approved by delegates of the 17th Hai Duong Provincial People's Council at the 18th Session held on the morning of November 6, Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council Le Van Hieu signed and issued Resolution No. 57/NQ-HDND on deciding the investment policy for the Project to invest in the construction of an interchange connecting National Highway 17B with National Highway 5, Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, Hai Duong province.

The project implementation location is in Kim Thanh district and Kinh Mon town. The construction location of the intersection is at about km 70+069 of National Highway 5 in Kim Xuyen commune (Kim Thanh) and Thuong Quan commune (Kinh Mon).

According to the resolution, the total investment of the project is expected to be 1,867 billion VND. Of which, the central budget supports 1,000 billion VND and 867 billion VND from the Hai Duong provincial budget in the public investment capital source for the period 2021-2025. The project implementation period is in the period 2023-2025.

The investment in building this intersection is to solve traffic congestion and reduce traffic accidents, gradually complete the traffic route connecting Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway with National Highway 18, the traffic infrastructure system of Kim Thanh district, Kinh Mon town and the traffic system in the province...
