The deadline for payment of 68 auctioned lots in Thanh Oai has expired, but only 13 lots have been paid in full, the rest have forfeited their deposits.
According to the Thanh Oai District Land Fund Development Center (Hanoi), the deadline for payment of 68 auctioned land lots in Ngo Ba area, Thanh Than village, Thanh Cao commune on August 10 has expired. However, to date, only 13 lots have fulfilled their financial obligations. These lots have winning prices ranging from 51.6 million to over 55 million VND/m2.
Meanwhile, all plots of land with winning prices from 80 million VND to more than 100 million VND/m2 were forfeited.
With the above results, the total amount collected from the auction was more than 80 billion VND, only reaching 20% of the expected amount.
According to regulations, there will be a plan to re-auction 120 days after the decision to cancel the auction. Therefore, Thanh Oai district currently has no plan or time to re-auction the 55 plots of land that have been abandoned.
Previously, the auction of 68 land lots in Ngo Ba area, Thanh Than village, Thanh Cao commune caused a stir in public opinion when there were more than 4,000 qualified applications, with more than 1,500 customers. The winning price was 7-8 times higher than the starting price, from 8.6 - 12.5 million VND/m2, exceeding the threshold of 100 million VND/m2.
Of which, lot LK03-10 with an area of nearly 65m2 has the highest winning price of up to 100.5 million VND/m2, 8 times higher than the starting price.
