The People's Councils of 28 newly merged communes, wards and towns in Hai Duong have just held their first meeting to elect leaders of the People's Councils and People's Committees of communes, wards and towns.
All meetings were successfully held, and personnel in the localities were completed. On December 1, the results of the election of the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the People's Council at the commune level were sent to the Standing Committee of the People's Council at the district level for approval; the results of the election of the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level were sent to the Chairman of the People's Committee at the district level for approval.
Before the People's Councils of 28 communes, wards and towns held their first sessions, the localities announced decisions to establish Party Committees in new administrative units on the basis of merging and consolidating Party Committees in old administrative units; appointing executive committees, standing committees and positions of Party Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee at the commune level for the 2020-2025 term in the new administrative units.
In 28 new communes, wards and towns, there are 2 female Party Committee Secretaries in Quoc Tuan Commune (Nam Sach) and Thanh Tan Commune (Thanh Ha); 2 female Chairmen of Commune People's Committees in Lai Khe Commune and Vu Dung Commune (Kim Thanh).
All new communes, wards and towns do not arrange for the Party Secretary to also be the Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level.
