Thanks to good propaganda and mobilization work, Cam Giang people have actively donated land to expand roads and build model roads.
People of An Lai village, Cam Dong commune (Cam Giang) demolished the project to donate land to expand the road.
Although it has reached the model new rural area goal since 2021, Cao An commune has continuously improved the quality of criteria to better meet the needs of the people. The commune has identified upgrading infrastructure as one of the key tasks, breakthrough work that needs to be done and advocates building a model road in each village. Therefore, the commune continues to renovate and expand the main roads in all 4 villages from 3-5 m to 7-10 m, and at the same time renovate the old concrete roads into asphalt roads... When starting to implement, the biggest difficulty is site clearance. However, the sectors and organizations from the commune to the village have actively participated, propagandized and mobilized people to continue donating land for road construction. Understanding the purpose and significance of renovating and beautifying model new rural roads, more than 200 households with houses on both sides of the road in the villages voluntarily demolished the construction, donating nearly 3,000 m2 of land to widen the road...
Road 195B in Cam Giang district has many narrow and degraded sections, often congested during rush hours. Cam Giang district is implementing phase I of the project to widen the road section through An Lai village (Cam Dong commune) from 5-7 m to 10.5 m (road surface width 7.5 m) along with an underground drainage system. The old road surface will be replaced with asphalt concrete.
To ensure a favorable construction site, Cam Dong commune has increased propaganda and mobilized people on both sides of the road to donate land. Mr. Dao Van Doan, Party Cell Secretary, Head of An Lai village, said that immediately after the project was thoroughly understood and implemented, the Party Cell held a meeting to issue a resolution, assigning specific responsibilities to comrades in the Party Committee, sectors and organizations. The locality established a team and divided it into 2 groups to go to households in the village to propagate the content of the project, analyze the benefits the project brings to the development of the village in particular and the commune in general. Up to now, basically, households on both sides of the road have agreed and voluntarily demolished structures, gates, fences, etc. to donate land to hand over the site to the construction unit to upgrade and expand the road. Many structures that had to be demolished were newly built and of great value. After demolishing the structures and donating land, the households invested their own funds to rebuild.
A main road in Cao Xa village, Cao An commune has just been expanded.
In 2023, Tan Truong is one of the last 4 communes of Cam Giang district to register to complete the construction of advanced new rural areas. Currently, the commune is promoting propaganda and mobilizing people to donate land to expand the main roads in the village. Mr. Vu Van Thuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Truong commune, said that in order to improve the quality of criteria, including the hard criteria on traffic infrastructure, in order to soon complete the construction of advanced new rural areas in 2023, as well as achieve the criteria of a type V urban area before 2025, the commune has issued a resolution and policy to build and upgrade the main roads in the villages. "The commune is implementing two roads in two large villages, Quy Duong and Trang Ky, with a total length of 2.1 km. Before starting the implementation, the commune determined that propaganda and mobilization work was especially important and mobilized the entire political system to participate actively and responsibly. Through that, people have seen the benefits of road expansion and so far, households on both sides of the road have basically agreed and are demolishing their family structures to donate land," said Mr. Thuan.
With the close attention and direction of Party committees and authorities from the district to the grassroots, and the participation of the entire political system, the movement of donating land to expand roads in Cam Giang district continues to spread in the community. Households have donated tens of thousands of square meters of land to expand roads. Thereby, model roads have been formed, contributing to building Cam Giang countryside to be brighter, greener, cleaner, more beautiful and civilized.
