On the afternoon of January 31, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on the transfer of Colonel Dang Hong Duc, Director of Yen Bai Provincial Police, to the position of Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security.

Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security chaired the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the representative of the Department of Personnel Organization announced the Decisions of the Minister of Public Security on personnel work. Accordingly, Lieutenant General To An Xo ceased to hold the position of Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security from February 1, 2023; continued to hold the position of Assistant to the Politburo member, Minister of Public Security and assumed the duties of Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security.

Transfer Colonel Dang Hong Duc, born in 1977, hometown Nam Truc, Nam Dinh, Director of Yen Bai Provincial Police to take up the position of Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security from February 1, 2023.

On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To congratulated the officials whose Decision was announced; at the same time, he clarified that the announcement of the decision to remove Lieutenant General To An Xo from the position of Chief of the Ministry of Public Security Office was carried out in accordance with general regulations to continue performing the duties of Assistant to the Politburo member, Minister of Public Security and assuming the duties of Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security.

This is the recognition and appreciation of the Party, State and the police sector for his contributions and experience over the past 42 years.

The Deputy Minister believes that with his existing capacity, qualifications and experience, Lieutenant General To An Xo will continue to promote and achieve more important results.

Colonel Dang Hong Duc is a cadre with strong political will and good moral qualities; has basic training in professional skills and law, is capable of researching, applying and implementing policies of the Party, State and Ministry of Public Security in assigned fields of work; has work experience, leadership, direction, management and operation capabilities in many units and in many different positions.

During his tenure as Director of Yen Bai Provincial Police, Colonel Dang Hong Duc, together with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the leaders of the Provincial Police, focused on advising the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Yen Bai province to carry out all aspects of security and order, serving the socio-economic development in the province and directly directed the work of preventing, fighting and suppressing all types of crimes, resolving cases and incidents in accordance with the provisions of law, excellently completing assigned tasks; gaining the trust of local Party committees and authorities.

The transfer of Colonel Dang Hong Duc to take up the position of Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security demonstrates the trust of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security.

Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To requested the new Chief of the Ministry's Office to promptly take over the job, promote his experience and intelligence, and together with the Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry's Office, continue to lead and direct the unit to perform well its function as an advisory body of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security; advise and coordinate to help the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Minister of Public Security advise the Party and the State on policies, strategies and organization of leadership, direction and operation to protect national security, ensure social order and safety, build forces and other aspects of the People's Public Security force; contribute to building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern People's Public Security force, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation in the spirit of Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo.

On the same morning, at Yen Bai Provincial Police, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To chaired the Ceremony to announce the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on the transfer of Colonel Le Viet Thang, Director of Bac Lieu Provincial Police, to take up the position of Director of Yen Bai Provincial Police.
