Notably, the revenue of"The Beekeeper"over the past three weekends was $7.4 million - though only marginally better than the $7.3 million that"Mean Girls"grossed, but it was enough to take the top spot that this film held.

If"Mean Girls"(film title in Vietnam: Those Tricky Girls) mainly attracts female audiences,"The Beekeeper"again creates great attraction with "men".

Critic David A. Gross of the franchise entertainment market analysis firm Franchise Entertainment Research rates"The Beekeeper"is a blockbuster and will not be easily forgotten like the usual action movies.

Movie content"The Beekeeper"inspired by fantasy novels"The Beekeeper of Aleppo"(The Beekeeper of Aleppo) by Christy Lefteri (released in 2019).

In the film, Jason Statham plays Adam Clay - a diligent and lonely beekeeper, who is staying in the house of his landlady Eloise Parker (played by Phylicia Rashad). One day, Mrs. Parker suddenly commits suicide and Clay is determined to find out the truth. It turns out that behind the yellow "bees" in the meadow is a sinister plot of an illegal network. Clay is determined to carry out a plan to bring justice to his only relative.

Statham's role is irreverent, barely cracking a smile as he beats down bad guys.

As the film progresses, the true identity of the quiet "beekeeper" also begins to be revealed.

The film website Screen Rant commented that director David Ayer is trying to re-establish his position in Hollywood with"The Beekeeper,"after having created a good effect on the audience through the movie"Fury"(Fury) 10 years ago.

As of now, the total domestic revenue of"The Beekeeper"is $60.8 million after 3 weeks of showing - not a bad result for a movie with a production budget of about $36 million.

Out of breath compared to"The Beekeeper," "Mean Girls"Paramount Pictures' "The Last of Us" took second place in the North American box office last week.

"Mean Girls"Mean Girls, released in 2024, is a new film version based on the Broadway musical that was adapted from the famous 2004 film. To date, the revenue of this new film has far surpassed the achievements of the original 2004 version of Mean Girls.

"Mean Girls"The 2024 version continues to revolve around the life of female student Cady Heron (played by Angourie Rice) at a new school in the US. Here, she is famous in the A-list girl group Plastics. However, everything changes when Heron makes a mistake in her relationship with Aaron Samuels. Conflicts between the "tricky girls" and humorous, funny, and tearful situations also arise from here.

Comedian Tina Fey - screenwriter of both film versions"Mean Girls"- plays math teacher Norbury. The film also stars Renee Rapp, Auli'i Cravalho and Bebe Wood.

In third place is the musical fantasy film"Wonka"Warner Bros., with $5.9 million earned over the weekend. To date, the domestic total of"Wonka"has surpassed the $187 million mark.

The film is based on the character Willy Wonka - the famous chocolate maker in the classic novel."Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"(Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) by author Roald Dahl. This work was adapted into Hollywood films in 1971 and 2005.

Here are the remaining names on the list:
