On the morning of August 7, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) announced the results of the Logo and Propaganda Design Contest for the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union. At the same time, it announced the official logo of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.
According to the representative of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Organizing Committee received 273 logo entries from groups and individuals belonging to 29/82 provincial and municipal labor federations, Central and equivalent industry trade unions, and General Corporation trade unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; 350 propaganda painting entries from groups and individuals belonging to 47/82 provincial and municipal labor federations, Central and equivalent industry trade unions, and General Corporation trade unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
First prize awarded to author Nguyen Ngoc Huy Man (Thanh Khe district, Da Nang city) in the symbol category.
Based on the received entries, the Propaganda Department of the General Confederation of Labor conducted an initial assessment to eliminate entries that did not comply with regulations and were of poor quality.
After 4 rounds of judging, based on the proposals of the Propaganda Subcommittee and the Jury of the contest, the Standing Committee of the Presidium of the General Confederation of Labor agreed to award the contest prizes.
In the logo category, there was 1 First Prize winning work by author Nguyen Ngoc Huy Man (Thanh Khe district, Da Nang city) and 4 works won Encouragement prizes.
Two works won first prize in the logo and propaganda painting categories.
In the propaganda painting category, there was 1 first prize winning work by author Pham Thi Loi, No. 31, Lane 93, Hoang Van Thai, Hanoi; 1 second prize winning work and 3 third prize winning works.
Award for disabled author
At the same time, the Standing Committee of the General Confederation of Labor also decided to recognize, encourage and reward 1 disabled author; the oldest author and the youngest author whose works entered the quality assessment round of the Jury.
In general, the award-winning works are all exploratory, creative in their expression techniques, unique in color, shape, and ideas, creating aesthetic emotions and positively orienting the viewer's need for artistic perception.

The logo of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is designed in a modern, artistic, ideological and highly generalized manner. The overall layout takes the lotus as the main theme, symbolizing the pure beauty imbued with traditional Vietnamese culture. The lotus also reminds us of President Ho Chi Minh, who laid the foundation for the establishment of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, affirming that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor always strives to implement his teachings, and perform well the functions and tasks prescribed by the Constitution, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam. |
