Police in Thach Long commune (Thach Thanh district, Thanh Hoa province) have just corrected information warning about a group of people in a car suspected of kidnapping children in the locality.

According to Thach Long Commune Police, at 7:15 p.m. on February 18, on the unit's Facebook page, there was a post with information about prevention and warning people about child kidnapping tricks, along with a picture of a car with signs of suspected child kidnapping that was discovered and reported by people.

The incident started on the afternoon of February 17 when a local girl was dragged into a car by a group of people. However, the girl was lucky enough to break free and run away. After the incident, her family was so panicked that they reported it to the police on February 18.

However, after posting the article, Thach Long Commune Police checked and determined that there was no incident of a group of people in a car kidnapping a child as reported by the citizen. Therefore, Thach Long Commune Police corrected the information in the previous post of this unit's warning.

At the same time, citizens are requested not to propagate or post about the above content. Currently, Thach Long Commune Police have also removed the previous warning information on the unit's Facebook account.

Nearly 10 days ago, the Cua Viet town police (Gio Linh district, Quang Tri) also denied the information that a 4th grade student (Gio Viet Primary and Secondary School) was staged to be kidnapped after school.

According to the police, a Facebook account previously posted information about a student named Nguyen Thi A. (residing in Cua Viet town - a 4th grade student at Gio Viet Primary and Secondary School) who, after school, waited at the school gate for her parents to pick her up when someone drove a car with many advertising logos on it and said they would pick her up. However, the student did not get in the car, and the person and car then left.

However, through verification, Cua Viet Town Police determined that Nguyen Thi A. came home from school and told her mother the kidnapping story for fun, but her mother thought it was real so she called her husband in Korea. Her husband could not hear clearly so he asked his friend who was also in Korea to post it on Facebook.
