Since the beginning of the year, Colombia has seized 30 tons of cocaine (equivalent to 1.4 billion USD), significantly destroying the resources of drug criminal organizations.
On March 11, Colombian President Gustavo Petro highly appreciated the seizure of more than 4 tons of cocaine in the Caribbean Sea and the arrest of many drug lords to destroy transnational criminal networks.
According to Mr. Petro, the Colombian Navy seized the drugs in waters 196 km from the city of Cartagena.
In a joint operation between the Colombian navy and air force, with the participation of aircraft and patrol boats, authorities intercepted a speedboat carrying 4,015 kg of cocaine, estimated to be worth 192 million USD, and arrested 5 suspects, including 4 natives and 1 Honduran.
