However, the selling price of SJC gold bars listed at Mi Hong gold shop today is 63 million VND/tael, buying price is 62.35 million VND/tael. The difference between buying and selling price is up to 650,000 VND/tael.
This price has decreased slightly by 100,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday's price, but compared to the price before Tet of 62.5 million VND/tael, the price of SJC gold bars has increased by half a million VND during the Tet holiday.
The domestic gold price has reached a record high due to many reasons: The world gold price has increased by about 20 USD/ounce in the past week, equivalent to 550,000 VND/tael, and because it is close to the God of Wealth Day (the 10th day of the first lunar month every year) - the day when people buy gold for good luck at the beginning of the year. In recent years, many people have bought gold before the God of Wealth Day, so the gold price after Tet has always been pushed up.

Compared to the converted world gold price of 49.67 million VND/tael, the price of SJC gold bars is 13.33 million VND/tael higher. This is also a record difference ever.
