Dau Tri Pagoda is located at the beginning of the village on a fairly flat land with an area of 424m2.2, the scale is not large but uniform, bearing the mark of traditional architecture. The temple worships Buddha according to the Mahayana Zen sect.

Presently, the pagoda has the architecture of the first and the last Dinh, consisting of three buildings: the front hall, the middle hall, and the upper hall. The front faces southwest, symbolizing the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas sitting facing south to listen to the cries for help of sentient beings in their mundane lives, in order to use the boundless power of the Dharma through the four immeasurable minds (love, compassion, joy, and equanimity) to save them. At the same time, the south is also the direction of Prajna, or wisdom.

During the resistance war against French colonialism (1946 - 1954), the pagoda was the place where the Ninh Giang District People's Court evacuated, and the gathering place for local militia and guerrillas and the Ninh Giang District armed forces to attack Hiep Le, Quan Ve, and Cau Ram outposts...

In particular, in 1952, the 42nd Regiment of Hai Duong province, after attacking from underground (attacking from underground) Highway 17 (now National Highway 37) passing through the Dau Tri pagoda area to retreat to Ninh Hai commune, was discovered by the French army. They fired artillery shells in an attempt to destroy them. During this battle, a shell hit the right wall of the front hall, causing a large hole. The enemy captured 22 people in Dau Tri village on suspicion of being communists and organized an interrogation at the pagoda, then took them to Doan Xa (Hai Phong) and exiled them to Con Dao.

During the resistance war against the US, Dau Tri Pagoda was the evacuation site for machinery and equipment from Ninh Giang Mill. These machinery and equipment were not moved until 1976.

Since peace, the pagoda has been carefully looked after and protected by local people, and is a place for healthy religious activities.

The system of statues and worship objects at the relic is gilded with gold, mostly ancient statues with exquisite shaping value, showing high aesthetics and technique, in the style of the Nguyen Dynasty (19th century) and arranged harmoniously in the upper hall and the middle hall.

In addition to the system of Buddha statues, the pagoda also has a number of other relics and antiquities such as large characters and steles that contribute to enriching the antiquities at the site, especially the Quang Dieu stele (Quang Dieu Tu Bi - Tin Thi). The stele is flat, with a dome top, made of green stone, 93.5cm high, 60cm wide, 14cm thick, with about 800 Chinese characters that are still quite clear, erected on the back of a 110cm long turtle. The stele has 2 sides, the first side has a carved forehead with two dragons facing the moon pulling a sword with twisted fire clouds; the second side has a carved face with a moon and a sword with fire, chrysanthemums on both sides, and the surrounding border is carved with stylized twisted flowers.

The content of the stele says: Dau Tri Pagoda used to be a famous scenic spot. Over time, the temple was destroyed by storms, wind and rain, but the people still respected it. One day, the Queen Mother rode a royal carriage to burn incense and pray for children. Thanks to the prayers, her body became strong and her prayers were answered. The Queen Mother immediately ordered the Queen Mother Mac Thi Ngoc Thanh to pray wholeheartedly, to show her respect, and to grant her blessings. She spent one hundred taels of gold to cover the cost of building the temple. She also encouraged the virtuous people such as Vu Phuc Ninh, Nguyen Phuc Tho, Vu Phuc Thanh, Nguyen Tam Tich (Tu) and the young and old in the village to participate in building the upper hall, the front hall, and casting incense burners... By the year of Nham Ngo (1582), the temple was completed. The temple was built majestically, magnificently, and on a scale suitable for the regime at that time. Many virtuous people used literature to praise the beauty of the temple and passed it on to future generations.

The pagoda is called Quang Dieu, which means shining brightly like the sun, creating great deeds, doing good deeds and bringing blessings to everyone. Buddhism is not only deeply rooted in the thoughts of each person but also passed on to future generations. The harmony between heaven and earth and the merits of Buddha are still clear forever, engraved by the people on stone tablets to pass on to future generations. In addition, the tablets also record the names of those who have made merit and the amount of land used for sacrifice in the fields...

The Quang Dieu Tu Bi - Tin Thi stele at Dau Tri pagoda is not only a valuable source of information for studying and researching the history of the relic, the process of restoration and embellishment of the relic; learning about the level and art of stone carving in the 16th century, but also contributing to finding a beautiful custom of the past culture. Thereby, commemorating and honoring the characters who have made positive contributions to the development of the village community. Currently, this stele has been preserved by the local people by building a protective stele house.
