Ung Hoe Commune (Ninh Giang) received the certificate of ranking Dong Lai communal house as a provincial historical and cultural relic.

On the morning of April 13, the People's Committee of Ung Hoe commune (Ninh Giang, Hai Duong) held a ceremony to receive the certificate of ranking Dong Lai communal house as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic.

Dong Lai Communal House was built during the Later Le Dynasty with the first front and the last back architecture. The Communal House was restored on a large scale during the Nguyen Dynasty.

Dong Lai Communal House worships 6 village tutelary gods who helped King Ly Nam De defeat the Liang invaders and are clearly recorded in the genealogy, legends, and royal decrees. The 6 tutelary gods of Dong Lai village were also awarded 11 royal decrees by the Nguyen Dynasty.

During the August Revolution of 1945, the communal house was the place where Viet Minh cadres organized to regain power and launched the "Popular Education" movement. From 1958 to 1962, the communal house was demolished to get materials to serve the resistance and build local welfare projects.

In 2013, the government and people of Dong Lai village contributed their efforts and money to restore the communal house on the old campus in the shape of the letter T, including 5 main worship rooms and 2 rear sanctuaries. Every year, the Dong Lai communal house festival is held from the 15th to the 16th of the third lunar month.

With outstanding historical value, at the end of 2024, Dong Lai communal house was recognized by Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee as a provincial historical relic.
