The no parking sign on Tran Quoc Nghien coastal road has been removed so that tourists can stop and admire Ha Long Bay.
On August 21, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nha, Vice Chairman of Ha Long City People's Committee, said that 17 no-parking signs had been removed after residents and tourists complained that there were many tourist attractions along the coastal road.
Previously, the 40 km/h speed limit sign on the road was also removed. Vehicles are allowed to travel at 60 km/h on hard-separated roads and 50 km/h on soft-separated roads.
Tran Quoc Nghien Street along Ha Long Bay
In early August, the city's functional forces took action to deal with fishing boats illegally anchored in some areas along Tran Quoc Nghien Street such as Bai Tho Bridge, Ha Long Market, and Quang Ninh Museum. Therefore, the route is more open, suitable for tourists to visit and admire Ha Long Bay.
Tran Quoc Nghien coastal road has an investment of 1,300 billion VND, 4.7 km long, starting from Bai Tho bridge, ending at connecting Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal road, started in July 2019 and inaugurated in May 2020.
The road has 6 lanes, the sidewalk inside is 5 m wide, outside the sea there is a landscaped area to view Ha Long Bay 28 m wide.
