The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front takes place at a time when the entire Party, people and army are determined to successfully complete the goals and tasks of 2024 and 2025.
On the morning of October 17, the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for the 2024-2029 term will hold a solemn opening session with the participation of leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and VFF.
The 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term takes place at a time when the entire Party, people and army are determined to successfully complete the goals and tasks of 2024 and 2025 and strive to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
The 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front with the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development" will be held from October 16 to 18, 2024. The Congress is tasked with comprehensively assessing the situation and results of the implementation of the Resolution of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2019-2024 term, and setting out the directions, goals and action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new term.
Of the total 1,052 official delegates, there are 337 ex-officio delegates who are members of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 9th tenure; 583 delegates elected by the provincial congresses and member organizations (91 delegates elected by member organizations at the central level and 492 delegates from localities elected by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congresses of provinces and cities). Regarding the structure of delegates: female delegates account for more than 30%; non-Party delegates account for more than 46.7%; ethnic minority delegates account for more than 25%; religious delegates account for nearly 20%...
During today's working day, after the opening session, the Congress will divide into discussion groups and conduct consultations to elect the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, 2024-2029; and organize the first conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th tenure, 2024-2029.
Previously, on the first working day, the Congress conducted consultations to elect the Presidium of 55 members, the Congress Secretariat of 5 members; approved the Program and Working Regulations of the Congress. At the same time, many important contents were discussed and considered such as: Report on reviewing the activities of the Central Committee, the Presidium and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX, 2019 - 2024; Proposal to amend and supplement the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX; approved amendments and supplements to the Charter of the Front, etc.
Also on the afternoon of October 16, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held the opening ceremony of the Exhibition displaying images of the great national unity bloc and the results of the Front's work for the 2019-2024 term with the theme "Promoting the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous and happy".
