Ms. Xiem in Thanh Ha needs help to raise 4 children to study.

In a temporary house about 20 m wide², we felt sad when the only valuable thing in Ms. Xiem's ​​house was a wooden wardrobe that her husband's brother gave her a few years ago. The rest were 2 wooden beds, 2 small study tables, each only about 0.5 m wide.²also from people who sympathize with her family. Those two tables are now old and the paint is peeling.

In 2006, he and his wife got married. Neither of them had stable jobs. After a period of hard work, they bought a few acres of land to grow guava, but that was only enough to cover their daily expenses. When farming was off-season, they worked hard to earn money to take care of and raise their children.

The incident happened in June 2020, while returning from work, her husband had a traffic accident, due to severe injuries he did not survive, leaving her and 4 young children.

Now, her four children are old enough to eat and grow up, and the cost of education is very difficult. Feeling sorry for their mother's hardship, the four sisters go to school to help their mother with housework, study hard, have good academic performance, and are loved by teachers and friends.

The oldest child is Le Hoai Thu, currently a 12th grade student at Thanh Ha High School; the second and third children are in 8th and 6th grade respectively at Tan Viet Secondary School and the youngest child is in 3rd grade at Tan Viet Primary School.

In the 2021-2022 school year, Le Hoai Thu (then in grade 9) was awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of Thanh Ha District People's Committee for her outstanding achievements in winning a prize in the Provincial Excellent Student Competition.

At the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, Ms. Xiem had to borrow more than 10 million VND from everywhere to pay for her children's education and books. The average monthly tuition fee for her children is about 4 million VND. "Currently, my family does not know how to raise my children to study, while they are still growing up. I really love my children, I have tried to grow guava, I do whatever I can get hired, but the cost of taking care of them has exceeded my ability," Ms. Xiem shared.

Ms. Vu Thi Huyen, President of the Women's Union of Tan Viet Commune, said that Ms. Xiem's ​​family is a long-time poor household in the commune. Both her paternal and maternal families are not well-off. Both her husband's parents and her biological father have passed away, leaving only her mother, who is old and weak and unable to help.
