Hai Duong's industrial production index in the first two months of 2024 increased by 11.9%

According to the Hai Duong Provincial Statistics Office, the province's industrial production index in February decreased by 10% compared to the same period in 2023. The reason is the difference in the number of working days (because the 2023 Lunar New Year holiday falls in January, while the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday falls in February).

In the first two months of 2024, the province's industrial production index increased by 11.9% over the same period in 2023. Of which, the electronics manufacturing industry increased by 15.2% due to the strong increase in demand for AI chips, smartphones and infotainment devices.

Motor vehicle manufacturing increased by 13.2%. Within the industry, electronic components for motor vehicles increased by 20.2%, and ignition and other wiring harnesses for motor vehicles increased by 19.1%.

The garment and footwear manufacturing industry increased by 8.3% and 10.4% respectively. From the fourth quarter of 2023 to present, the number of orders of many businesses in the industry has increased as the market has improved.

The food production and processing industry increased by 18.3% due to the stable development of the livestock industry, good control of epidemics, and increased livestock numbers.
