Tsunami warning after 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Philippines

The US Geological Survey (USGS) announced that a magnitude 7.2 earthquake occurred in the sea about 66 km southeast of Bobon in Northern Samar province (Philippines).

The US tsunami warning system has issued a warning of a possible tsunami following the earthquake.

According to USGS, the epicenter was at a depth of 50km.

Previously, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) also reported on the above earthquake, with the epicenter at a depth of 60km.
