National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue respectfully thanked the leaders of press agencies and journalists for their comments and suggestions on the National Assembly's typical events; affirmed that he would study and absorb the opinions to complete and soon announce the 10 typical events of the National Assembly in 2023.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue shared more about the outstanding highlights in the activities of the National Assembly in 2023 - a very busy and exciting year for the National Assembly in the spirit of innovation, creativity, flexibility, dynamism, proactiveness, enhancing democracy and the rule of law, creating development, and increasingly better meeting the requirements of practical life.

In particular, the National Assembly Chairman especially emphasized the organization of the first mock session of the Children's National Assembly; the Labor Forum; the National Conference to implement laws and resolutions of the National Assembly; the successful organization of the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians with a record number of delegations and delegates attending, the first time adopting the conference declaration; the organization of the National Conference to summarize the activities of the People's Council in 2022 and deploy tasks in 2023; the organization of 5 National Assembly sessions in 1 year, including 3 extraordinary sessions to resolve major and urgent issues of the country; a general review of laws...

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue especially emphasized that in the common achievements of the National Assembly, there has always been the important accompaniment and contribution of press agencies. Press agencies are always proactive and active in fully, promptly and vividly conveying the activities of the National Assembly to voters and people nationwide; thereby, contributing to raising awareness and support of the people for the decisions of the National Assembly; contributing to bringing the laws, ordinances and resolutions of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee into life soon.

The press has promptly reflected the thoughts and aspirations of sectors, sectors, voters and people to the National Assembly forum. "We believe that the press is a reliable channel for the people to supervise the National Assembly and National Assembly deputies. Through the press channel, the National Assembly has more basis to promulgate many important policies and laws and to exercise supreme supervision, better fulfilling the assigned tasks," said the National Assembly Chairman.

Regarding the second Dien Hong Award, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue happily announced that although the time for receiving works is only 6 months (from June 9, 2023 to December 5, 2023), the Organizing Committee has received 2,679 entries from 138 central and local press agencies, Offices of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Councils, and individuals at home and abroad.

The judging process has been completed and the second Dien Hong Award Ceremony is expected to take place in early January 2024, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly.

On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue asked press agencies to continue to promote their role as an important bridge, connecting the National Assembly with the people and voters nationwide.

The National Assembly Chairman requested the Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Information and Communications to continue to strengthen the leadership of the Party, the management of the State, and the coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association and press management agencies to maintain the role of directing and guiding the press to fulfill its mission of revolutionary journalism, "building a professional, humane and modern press and media"; effectively coordinate the implementation of phase 2 (2023 - 2025) of the National Press Development and Management Plan to 2025; harmoniously combine the arrangement and promotion of healthy and right-directed press development.

Referring to the Ministry of Information and Communications reviewing the implementation of the Press Law, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue requested the Ministry to study and promptly propose amendments to the Press Law to overcome difficulties and create a favorable legal corridor for press agencies to develop.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue requested leaders and managers of press agencies to continue to improve their political capacity, sense of responsibility, and management skills; pay attention to comprehensively training and improving the quality of reporters and editors to match the assigned tasks; and affirmed that the National Assembly Party Delegation, the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee and the National Assembly agencies always create favorable conditions for press agencies to operate.
