This is the assessment of the Center for Science and Technology Application and Breeding Testing (Department of Science and Technology) on the results of implementing the public service model "Transferring application of scientific and technological advances in commercial mudfish farming" held on the morning of July 17.
The model is implemented on a scale of 1 hectare with 400,000 fish in 3 communes in Binh Giang, Ninh Giang and Nam Sach districts. After 3 months of farming, mud loach can be harvested with high profits. Currently, each kilo of commercial loach weighs from 35 to 40 fish, with a selling price of 75,000 to 85,000 VND; bringing in a profit of over 220 million VND/ha, much higher than other traditional fish.

According to the assessment of the Public Service Board, mud loach has many advantages, suitable for Hai Duong's conditions. In particular, the fish has a fast growth rate, good disease resistance, and short rearing time, so it can speed up pond turnover.
