The Ministry of Health affirmed that the information about the ministry "punishing single people for social responsibility" is untrue, intentionally distorted, causing misunderstanding and anger in society.
Recently, on social networks, some information has been posted about the Minister of Health giving his opinion and proposing a pilot "punishing single people".
The Ministry of Health affirmed that this is fabricated information, untrue, causing misunderstanding and confusion among the public.
Specifically, on August 13, the Minister of Health issued Official Dispatch No. 4737/BYT-VPB1 on responding to the petition of voters of Ho Chi Minh City before the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly, in which the voters requested "specific measures to increase the birth rate in urban areas...".
The document states that, in order to firmly maintain the replacement fertility rate, ensure the population growth rate and maintain a reasonable working-age population structure contributing to sustainable population development, on April 28, 2020, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 588/QD-TTg approving the Program to Adjust Fertility Rates Appropriate to Regions and Subjects by 2030.
In particular, in localities that have reached the replacement level of fertility and have low fertility rates, it is necessary to focus on prioritizing the immediate implementation of tasks and solutions to mobilize, support, and encourage people to have 2 children... (without the content of punishing single people).
The Ministry of Health once again affirms that the information about punishing single people is false and intentionally distorted, causing misunderstanding and anger in society.
