The Ministry of Home Affairs agrees with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on the plan for holidays in 2025 such as: Lunar New Year, National Day, Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has just sent a document to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to give comments on the plan for Tet At Ty holiday, National Day holiday and some other holidays and Tet in 2025.
Regarding the Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025, the Ministry of Home Affairs agreed on a plan for cadres, civil servants and public employees to have a 9-day holiday, from January 25 to February 2, 2025, that is, from December 26, Giap Thin year to January 5, At Ty year.
With this plan, during the Lunar New Year holiday, civil servants and public employees will have 9 days off, including 5 days off for Tet according to the Labor Code and 4 days off every week.
For the 2025 National Day holiday, the Ministry of Home Affairs agreed on a plan for cadres, civil servants, and public employees to have 4 days off, from August 30 to September 2, 2025.
In particular, on the occasion of the Victory Day of April 30 and International Labor Day of May 1 in 2025, the Ministry of Home Affairs also agreed on a plan for cadres, civil servants and public employees to have 5 days off from April 30 to May 4, 2025. The Ministry of Home Affairs agreed to swap the working day from Friday, May 2, 2025 to Saturday, April 26, 2025.
The Ministry of Home Affairs also agreed on the draft document prepared by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to submit to the Prime Minister for decision.
For employees in enterprises, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that based on actual conditions and the holiday schedule applicable to civil servants and public employees, employers will arrange the Lunar New Year holiday schedule. Employers at enterprises take the initiative in scheduling holidays, but enterprises need to notify employees of the Lunar New Year holiday plan at least 30 days before implementation.
