Border Guard receives First Class Military Exploit Medal

On March 3, on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day and the 33rd anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day, the Border Guard held a ceremony to receive the President's First Class Feat of Arms Medal to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in performing their duties.

Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai, member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Border Guard; Lieutenant General Do Danh Vuong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Border Guard.

Intelligence, courage, high determination, strong expertise, clean hands, strengthening discipline management, excellently completing all assigned tasks, are the requirements of Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien for the Border Guard when speaking at the ceremony.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien warmly praised the achievements and feats that the Border Guard has achieved in recent times and requested the Border Guard to continue to closely follow the situation and tasks of the unit to comprehensively deploy border measures and work; organize management and firmly protect national border sovereignty; effectively combat all types of crimes, maintain political security and social order and safety in border areas.

The Border Guard needs to continue advising local Party committees and authorities and organizing the construction and consolidation of political bases in complicated areas, mobilizing people to participate in border protection. Proactively grasp the situation early and from afar both inside and outside the border, innovate the method of operation in a professional, in-depth and modern direction; establish specialized projects and cases to ensure safety, prevent complicated hot spots from occurring and closely coordinate with functional forces, strengthen international cooperation, resolutely fight and destroy criminal networks and gangs.

In 2021, the Border Guard Command has had many policies and solutions to resolutely direct agencies and units to synchronously carry out border work measures, resolutely attack crimes, and maintain security and order in border areas and border gates.

The units have done a good job in their professional work, conducting in-depth investigations on key routes, immigration and import-export fields. In particular, they have done a good job of advising the Party committees and local authorities in mobilizing the masses to participate in denouncing crimes, and not to assist in smuggling and illegal transportation of goods across the border.
