Binh Giang District Police continuously discovered and arrested 2 subjects for illegal drug trafficking, including drugs soaked in herbal fibers.
On December 28, the Investigation Police Agency of Binh Giang District Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and execute an order to temporarily detain Pham The Anh, born in 2005, residing in My Khe village, Vinh Hong commune (Binh Giang) to investigate the crime of illegal drug trafficking.
At around 12:30 on December 18, at the intersection of Thuong area, Ke Sat town (Binh Giang), the district police discovered Nguyen Dinh Thang, born in 1990, residing in Bui Xa village, Nhan Quyen commune, illegally hiding a plastic bag containing brown herbal fibers. These were the herbs laced with ADB-butinaca that Thang had just purchased from Pham The Anh.
Searching Pham The Anh's residence, the authorities discovered and seized 21 plastic bags containing small brown pieces of chopped plants weighing 35.624 grams containing the same type of drugs hidden in a jacket pocket in the bedroom for sale for profit.
Previously, at around 10:25 a.m. on December 15, at the road along the new Sat bridge, in Vinh Lai village, Vinh Hung commune (Binh Giang), the working group of the district police caught Nguyen Huu Hai, born in 1993, residing in Ngoc Mai village, Vinh Hung commune (Binh Giang) illegally hiding a bag of methamphetamine. Upon an urgent search of Hai's residence, the police seized 24 more bags of methamphetamine with a total weight of 3.564 grams hidden in the wardrobe and a set of tools used for illegal drug use.
Hai confessed to hiding all the drugs to resell to customers for profit. This subject has a previous conviction for illegal drug trafficking. On December 18, the District Police issued decisions to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and detain Nguyen Huu Hai for illegal drug trafficking.
Both cases are being further investigated by Binh Giang District Police.
