Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent chickenpox

According to the Hai Duong Province Center for Disease Control, since the beginning of May, the province has recorded more than 20 more patients with chickenpox. From January 1 to June 15, there were a total of 266 patients with this disease, an increase of 5.8 times compared to the same period last year. Most of the patients with chickenpox had mild symptoms.

Although there were no outbreaks like at the beginning of the year, the number of chickenpox patients still appeared sporadically. Not only children but also many adults were infected and had to be hospitalized. On June 15, Hai Duong Children's Hospital was treating 4 cases, Gia Loc District Medical Center 3 cases, including two cases aged 18 and 30...

Doctors warn that although the rate of children experiencing complications from chickenpox is not high, in reality, there have been patients who suffered sequelae such as encephalitis, meningitis, and pneumonia. If these complications are not treated promptly, they can be life-threatening or leave serious sequelae such as epilepsy.

To date, vaccination is still the most effective method to prevent chickenpox effectively and permanently.
