Electric mouse traps are dangerous

The rice was still in its young stage but the rats were causing terrible damage. When visiting the field, Mr. Hoan felt sorry. He had used plastic to surround the field but the rats still managed to bite and get in. His wife, Mrs. Lan, went to town to ask for used oil to pour around the field but it was no use. Feeling sorry for the new rice field that was growing well, Mr. Hoan decided to go home and bring out electric wire to make a trap to kill rats. Seeing Mr. Hoan busily stringing the electric wire, Mrs. Hue picked grass nearby and asked:

- What are you doing so early in the morning? This year the rice is good but the rats are so bad!

- Because of the rats, I had to set up electric traps to kill them all.

Hearing about electric mousetraps, Mrs. Hue was startled and said:

- Hey, hey, don't trap mice that way, it's dangerous!

- Don't worry, I'll stay here and wait until you come back. I'll unplug the power so no one will get electrocuted. The new electric trap kills all the rats.

Don't be subjective, just the other day in the next commune, someone died because of using electricity to kill rats. And the person who died was the one who made the trap. I just do it manually, using sticky traps or traps to catch them safely. If I'm in a pinch, I'll bring out some cats tomorrow for them to catch. Hearing the sound of cats, the rats will probably be scared.

Hearing Mrs. Hue say that, Mr. Hoan felt guilty but still tried to set traps because he was afraid that the rice field would be eaten by rats in just a few days.

Seeing Mr. Hoan using an electric trap to kill rats, village chief Hoang passed by and quickly came down to say:

- Uncle, please don't use electric mouse traps anymore. Yesterday afternoon, the commune radio broadcast, you didn't hear it. The commune recommends that people not use electric traps to kill mice because it is dangerous and can kill people. A few years ago, in the neighboring village, someone went to jail for setting electric traps to kill mice, causing death, uncle! This method cannot kill all the mice. This morning, I went to the commune meeting and heard that the Agricultural Service Cooperative will launch a cat raising campaign. The service team will also increase inspections and set traps to kill mice for the people.
