Three men who chased and fired pellet guns, causing the death of a 22-year-old woman in Hanoi, have been prosecuted by Hanoi police for murder.
On the afternoon of July 11, the leader of Hanoi Police confirmed the above information. The three suspects prosecuted include: Dinh Xuan Sang (40 years old, residing in Ha Nam), Vu Thanh Quang (30 years old, residing in Hai Ba Trung district), Nguyen Xuan Dat (33 years old, residing in Hoan Kiem district).
According to authorities, at around 7:30 p.m. on July 3, the 22-year-old girl (living in Hoan Kiem district) and some friends attended a birthday party in Buoi ward, Tay Ho district. At 1 a.m. the next morning, the group went to a friend's house in Long Bien district.
Quang and Sang's group also came here to play. When Sang and Quang left first, one of the girls in the group commented on Sang's bald head, so a conflict arose.
Back home, Sang and Quang invited Dat to take revenge. The three got in the car, brought the pellet guns and returned to Long Bien district.
When he saw the group of girls, Sang told them to stop and talk, but they ran away. Sang drove his car after them to alley 264 Ngoc Thuy street, where he saw a motorbike carrying a 22-year-old girl and immediately opened fire with pellets. The victim was taken to the emergency room but died.
The victim's family said she was with her boyfriend at the time of the shooting, but he was lucky not to be hit.
A day after committing the crime, on July 4, Quang was arrested in Nam Dinh while fleeing to Ho Chi Minh City. That same evening, Dat surrendered to the Hanoi Police. Early in the morning of July 10, Sang was arrested in the Vietnam-Cambodia border area.
