After making a third offer, including £100m in cash plus £5m in add-ons, Arsenal have reached an agreement with West Ham for the transfer of Declan Rice.

According to the Daily Mail, the final sticking point between the parties is the payment method. Arsenal wants to pay in installments over four years, but West Ham wants the money to be paid in two instalments starting in 2025.

However, this is only a minor issue and is unlikely to cause the deal to collapse. Both clubs are now working to reach a final agreement after a fee has been agreed. Rice will become Arsenal's second summer signing, following Kai Havertz's £65m move. The 24-year-old midfielder is also the most expensive English player in history.

Man City's decision to pull out of the race for Rice after Arsenal's huge offer has given the Gunners the upper hand in negotiations. Another important development is that West Ham have been told Rice wants them to accept Arsenal's £105m offer.

Agreeing personal terms will not be a problem, with Rice likely to sign a long-term deal worth at least £250,000 a week.

Arsenal had always been Rice's preferred destination despite late interest from Man City, and now the midfielder will get his wish to join the Gunners, where manager Mikel Arteta sees him as a future captain.

Since making his debut at the age of 18 in 2017, Rice has blossomed into a major star. In total, he has made 245 appearances for West Ham, scoring 15 goals. The midfielder has also won 43 caps for England.

As for West Ham, they will have a large sum of money from selling Rice to supplement their squad next season. The rest ishupresselectricYesWhich targets will David Moyes choose?
