In the first months of 2025, measles in Hai Duong increased, most of whom had not been fully vaccinated.
According to the Hai Duong Province Center for Disease Control, from the beginning of the year to March 13, the whole province had 103 measles cases, while in the same period last year, no cases were recorded.
Hai Duong city has the most measles cases in the province with 68 cases. Nam Sach district has no measles cases. In other localities, measles appears sporadically, with 1-5 cases. According to epidemiological investigation, up to 85.4% of measles cases have not been fully vaccinated. 60.2% of cases are children under 5 years old.
In 2024, the whole province had only 31 cases of measles. Measles has increased recently due to the prolonged humid weather, creating conditions for the disease to spread rapidly. To effectively prevent measles, in addition to keeping the living environment clean, ensuring 2K (masks, disinfection), and a scientific diet, vaccination is the most effective measure.
