55 candidates compete in "Future Young Leaders"

On the morning of May 24, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Pioneer Council of Hai Duong organized the 16th "Future Young Leaders" Contest, school year 2023-2024.

The contest was attended by 55 contestants who were team leaders and deputy team leaders of primary and secondary schools in 12 districts, towns and cities; 6 contestants less than last year's contest. They were selected from the preliminary round organized by the district level earlier.

Candidates go through 4 exams, 1 more than last year, which is the "General Knowledge" exam.

In the “General Knowledge” section, candidates take a multiple-choice test. The test content is to learn about the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers; the work of the Team, the history of famous landscapes, culture, and people of Hai Duong...

In the section “I am the Team Commander”, contestants draw lots and present 1 of 5 contents: environmental protection; gratitude activities, remembering the source of drinking water; movement “Read and follow the Team newspaper”; movement “Small plan” and building beautiful friendships, saying no to school violence.

In the “Team Leader Instinct” competition, contestants will handle a situation given by the judges. The content of the situations are issues that often occur in daily life, study, and Team work.

The final part is the "Talent Team Commander" contest, in which candidates conduct one of the Team's ceremonies and rituals or organize an activity or game for team members.

The organizing committee will select 30 excellent candidates to announce and award prizes in the coming time.

The "Future Young Leaders" contest aims to create a useful playground and educate team members about the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team, and foster their knowledge and skills in commanding the Team.
