According to information from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, in 2024, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will focus on monitoring 4 main contents.
The four contents include: Supervising the responsibility of the Chairmen of People's Committees at all levels in implementing the law on receiving citizens, handling complaints, denunciations, recommendations, and reflections of voters and people in conjunction with the implementation of Decision 124-QD/TW dated August 2, 2018 of the Central Party Secretariat; supervising the implementation of focusing on developing human resources and building a team of ethnic minority cadres according to Conclusion No. 65-KL/TW of the Politburo dated October 30, 2019 on continuing to implement Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW of the 9th Party Central Committee on ethnic work in the new period; supervise a number of complaints and denunciations when requested in practice under the Coordination Program No. 02/CTPH-MTTQ-TTCP-BTP-HLG-LDLS dated October 11, 2018 between the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Government Inspectorate, the Ministry of Justice, the Vietnam Lawyers Association and the Vietnam Bar Federation; supervise the Law on Access to Information.
Regarding the monitoring activities of socio-political organizations, in 2024, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will monitor the implementation of policies and laws on social insurance in a number of provinces and cities; monitor the implementation of trade union fee payments by enterprises according to the provisions of the Trade Union Law; monitor the implementation of policies and laws on gender equality, female labor policies, female cadre work, and child care for children of workers, civil servants, and laborers.
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union focuses on monitoring the management and use of agricultural land; monitoring the implementation of laws on production, business and use of agricultural materials.
The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union supervises the implementation of the Youth Law and the Vietnam Youth Development Strategy for the 2021-2030 period.
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union supervises the arrangement, assignment, transfer, rotation, promotion, and appointment of cadres to ensure that there are female cadres in the structure of the Standing Committee of Party Committees and Party organizations at all levels, with the proportion of female Party Committee members at all levels reaching 20-25%; and supervises the implementation of the Law on Gender Equality.
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association supervises the implementation of Decree No. 150/ND-CP dated December 12, 2006 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Veterans Ordinance and Decree No. 157/ND-CP dated November 24, 2016 of the Government amending and supplementing Decree No. 150/2006/ND-CP dated December 12, 2006 detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Veterans Ordinance.
According to Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Huu Dung, along with the monitoring contents in the Plan, if necessary, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central Committees of socio-political organizations can conduct monitoring in a number of other areas when outstanding issues arise, of public concern, directly related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people, union members and association members according to the provisions of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front and relevant legal documents.
Regarding social criticism activities, in 2024, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will preside over social criticism of the draft Law on Urban Planning and Rural Planning; social criticism of the draft Law on Cultural Heritage (amended).
On the side of socio-political organizations, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presided over social criticism of the draft Law on Employment (amended). The Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union coordinated with the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to provide social criticism of the draft Law on Urban Planning and Rural Planning. The Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union presided over social criticism of the draft Law on Prevention and Combat of Human Trafficking (amended); and social criticism of the draft Law on Employment (amended). The Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans' Association presided over social criticism of the draft Law on People's Air Defense. The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union provided social criticism of the draft Law on Juvenile Justice and the draft Law on Employment (amended).
