The cause of the death of a couple and the injury of two young children after the massacre in Quang Ngai was a land dispute.
At noon on June 19, Quang Ngai Provincial Police announced the initial investigation results of the murder case that occurred the same morning in Nghia Dong Commune, Quang Ngai City.
According to Quang Ngai Provincial Police, the murder occurred at around 6:30 a.m. in Village 4, Nghia Dong Commune. The two deceased victims were identified as Mr. LHT (50 years old) and his wife, Mrs. PTP (42 years old, both living in Village 4, Nghia Dong Commune).
Mr. T's two children, LHNY (6 years old) and LHCN (4 years old), suffered multiple injuries and were discovered by locals and taken to the emergency room.
Immediately after the incident, the Provincial Police and Quang Ngai City Police deployed forces to arrest the perpetrator hiding in Mr. T's garden, Le Dinh Thuyet (57 years old, from Nghia Dong commune, Quang Ngai city; registered residence: Nghia Thanh commune, Chau Duc district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).
Le Dinh Thuyet is a paternal uncle of Mr. T.
The initial cause was determined to be due to a previous land dispute between Mr. T's family and Mr. Thuyet's family, so Thuyet had the intention of killing Mr. T's entire family.
On June 18, Thuyet traveled from Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to Quang Ngai city. There, he prepared a knife. At 9:00 p.m. the same day, Thuyet broke into Mr. T's garden and hid in the garden, waiting until the next morning to commit the crime.
