According to the Provincial Farmers' Association, since the beginning of the year, people in 9 communes, wards and towns in the province have been able to borrow capital from the Central Farmers' Support Fund to develop the economy.
These are the communes and wards: Ai Quoc, Ngoc Son (Hai Duong city), Pham Tran (Gia Loc), Quang Khai, Hung Dao (Tu Ky), Thai Hoa (Binh Giang), Cam Phuc (Cam Giang) and the two towns of Thanh Ha and Thanh Mien.
To get loans from the Central Farmers Support Fund, people in these localities must set up a production and aquaculture project led by one person. Each project has 13-14 participants and can borrow 500 million VND/project with an interest rate of 8.4%/year within 2 years.
The province currently has 32 economic development projects for farmers that have received loans from the Central Farmers Support Fund with a capital of 16 billion VND.
