The Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong Provincial Police has transferred the case file to the Provincial People's Procuracy to propose prosecuting 4 crimes against 2 subjects who robbed a gold shop on the night of June 7, 2023 in Kim Thanh district.

According to the investigation conclusion, the subjects Luong Van Dat (born in 1990) and Nguyen Van Doanh (born in 1989, both residing in Tien Cuong commune, Tien Lang district, Hai Phong city) were proposed to be prosecuted for murder and robbery. Dat was also proposed to be prosecuted for illegal possession and use of military weapons. Doanh was proposed to be prosecuted for illegal use of military weapons.
On the evening of June 7, Doanh and Dat went to the Duc Nam gold shop in Dong Gia town, Dong Cam commune (Kim Thanh) to rob. At around 8 pm, Doanh and Dat entered the gold shop. Doanh discovered Nguyen Dang Ninh, the son of the gold shop owner, sitting and drinking water. Doanh used a hammer to smash the glass display case and took the gold and put it in his backpack. Ninh rushed to try to catch the suspect, but Doanh ran outside. Dat walked backwards and pointed a gun at Ninh. When he saw Ninh continuing to chase, Dat opened fire, seriously injuring Ninh.
After that, the two subjects abandoned the stolen gold, the evidence and the motorbike to escape. Dat and Doanh were arrested by the police the next morning.
