Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi stated that in general, the works participating in this year's awards are of good quality. The quality is also quite even, the gap between central and local press has been narrowed in many genres. Most of the works are close to reality, highly topical, addressing hot spots in 2022 in the fields of politics, economics, society, national security and defense, Party building, etc. Many works are invested in carefully, the content is to discover new issues, criticize major policies and guidelines of the Party and State; propose many creative solutions, good ways of doing things that have the power to spread and influence in society. Many works are of good quality, invested seriously and carefully, have a tight structure, and the way of expression is close, vivid, and attractive to readers.

Central and local press agencies have clearly demonstrated achievements in innovation, creativity, diversity, and multimedia, typically: Ho Chi Minh City Television Station, Nghe An Radio and Television Station, Tuyen Quang Newspaper... Besides the large-level Associations, the quality of works submitted to the Award is still good, such as: Nhan Dan Newspaper Journalists Association, Vietnam Television Station, Voice of Vietnam Radio Station, Vietnam News Agency, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Information and Communications, People's Army Newspaper, Military Radio and Television Center, Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association..., many provincial Journalists Associations have invested in selecting and improving the quality of works submitted to the Award.

This year, press photos have more good works than last year, especially in some local units that have invested well in their works, sent more entries, there are photo sets that show the discovery of the topic, professional expression. However, there are still some units that sent works not following the instructions, many Association levels sent works very late. Some localities have not spent time researching and selecting truly excellent and outstanding works.
