573rd death anniversary of National Hero, World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai celebrated

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Board of the 2015 Con Son – Kiep Bac Autumn Festival, many members of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board, leaders of departments, boards, sectors, and unions of the province, districts, city, and provincial town, numerous locals, visitors from everywhere, monks, and Buddhist followers attended the anniversary.

The ceremony of asking for and taking a funeral oration from Con Son pagoda to Nguyen Trai temple was solemnly held at 7 am with the participation of kylin, dragon, and flag dance teams, monks, nuns, Buddhist followers, locals, and many visitors.

In his speech delivered at the anniversary, Mr. Nguyen Van Que, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Festival Organizing Board, highlighted the cultural and historical value of Con Son – Kiep Bac relics and great merits of National Hero, World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai, an eminent politician, militant, diplomat, and culturist of the nation.

To Nguyen Trai, Con Son is his fatherland where he attached his childhood to and hid to write "Binh Ngo Sach" (Strategies to expel Ming aggressors). Con Son is also where he built his house, ground ink, and wrote works with high historical, literary, philosophic, military, and diplomatic value that have become precious legacies for posterity.

In 1980, Nguyen Trai was honored as a World Cultural Celebrity by the UNESCO.

After the reading of the funeral oration, the provincial leaders, locals, and visitors burnt incense in commemoration of National Hero, World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai, visited and burnt commemorative incense at the temple of Dai Tu Do (Minister over the Masses) Tran Nguyen Dan.
