The Prime Minister has decided to recognize 24 objects and groups of objects as national treasures (phase 6 in 2017).
Con Son Tu Phuc Tu stele
Hai Duong has two treasures, namely a system of ma nhai stelae (stelae directly carved on cliffs) (dating from the 19th – early 20th centuries) in Kinh Chu cave (Pham Menh commune, Kinh Mon) and Con Son Tu Phuc Tu stele (dating from 1607, the 8th Hoang Dinh year) in Con Son – Kiep Bac relic site (Chi Linh).
The Prime Minister required the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; chairmen of People's Committees at all levels in localities where the national treasures are located; other ministers; and heads of ministerial-level bodies, subordinate agencies of the Government, and national treasure management units to manage the national treasures within the scope of their duties and powers in accordance with legal provisions on cultural heritage.
To date, seven objects in Hai Duong have been recognized as national treasures.
The previously-recognized objects are Huu Chung bronze drum in Ha Thanh commune (Tu Ky), Thanh Hu Dong stele at Con Son pagoda (Chi Linh), a cuu pham lien hoa (nine-tier lotus-shaped tower) at Giam pagoda (Cam Giang), Thanh Mai Vien Thong Thap stele at Thanh Mai pagoda (Chi Linh), and a cuu pham lien hoa at Dong Ngo pagoda (Tien Tien commune, Thanh Ha).
