Zinedine Zidane explained the reason for leaving Real Madrid, stating 3 important things that if Sir Jim Ratcliffe could do, he could invite the "bald guy" to MU.

According to the British press, Zinedine Zidane is on the list of 9 candidates for the new owner of MU, aiming to replace Erik ten Hag at the end of the season.

Sources say Sir Jim Ratcliffe has yet to decide on the Dutchman's future, but he has not been convincing enough for the English billionaire to believe he is a long-term option for the Red Devils.

For Zidane, this is not the first time he has been on MU's wish list, with the previous times the "bald guy" was said to have flatly refused.

The French football legend once shared that, despite receiving many offers, he knew that only "a few clubs" were suitable for him, based on the given criteria - coming with the firm belief that he would win titles.

In a recent interview with Marca, Zidane first spoke about the reason for leaving Real Madrid in the summer of 2021 and taking a break from then on:

“I understand football and know the demands of a club like Real Madrid. I know that if I don’t win, I have to leave.
But there is one important thing that has been forgotten here (Bernabeu), which is what I build every day with the players, with more than 150 people working around the team.”

Zidane has been on MU's wish list many times, but the relationship between the two sides has not happened yet.

Zidane stressed the 3 things needed for a club to always be great, showing that he will not accept the job at MU unless Sir Jim Ratcliffe can do it:

“I was born to win and I am here to win trophies but it is also about the human side, the emotions, the life. I feel that those three things are not valued, many people do not understand that it is also the way to maintain the momentum of a great club.
In some ways, I was even criticized. Nowadays, a coach's reign at a big club lasts only about two seasons, no more. To last longer, human relationships are essential, they are more important than money, reputation, more than anything else."

Will Zidane come to MU one day? Former player Julio Baptista - who played with the "bald guy" at Real Madrid in the 2005/06 season - believes it will happen: "I think one day, Zidane will come to the Premier League. He is an incredible coach, with a lot of experience winning the Champions League. So, I think it will happen. Zidane could lead MU!"
